The Western Elite Hockey Prospects player of the week is Airdrie Xtreme forward Mackenzie Bauer.
Mackenzie Bauer picked up 4 goals and 1 assist to go along with 4 Pims in 2 games in leading Airdrie to a pair of 4-3 wins last week.
Bauer picked up 2 goals in leading Airdrie to a 4-3 in Calgary against the Bisons. He then followed that up with 2 goals and 1 assist in a 4-3 victory over Camrose. Bauer had the GWG in both games.
Bauer has vaulted himself in to consideration as a possible top 5 round draft pick despite his relatively small size at this point at 5'7 145.
The goalie of the week is Leduc Oil Kings goaltender Nolan Kruizenga. Kruizenga finished the week with 1-0-0 record shutting out St. Albert stopping all 34 shots.
