98 born Jaeger White finishes with record 124 goals

A player who is sure to make waves in the ambhl next season will be 98 born Jaeger White of the Medicine Hat "Sports Connection" Venom. He rouned out his season this weekend playing three games in three days and figured in on 13 of his teams 16 goals in scoring 10 and 3 assists. White, the brother of '10 WHL first round bantam selection of Moose Jaw, Torrin White scored a league record 124 goals and assisting on 24 others. His 124 goals are almost 30 more than the record previously held by Airdrie's Ty Rattie. Jaeger White won the league goal scoring race by 57 over Bow Valley's Dillon Dube, who will likely join Airdrie next season.

Have watched Jaeger play 4 times and been super impressed. His hands are incredible. I wondered where he stood amongst past successes at such a young age. It is interesting to see that he blew Ty Rattie's record away by 27 goals. With Ty now a top scorer in the WHL, it will be interesting to see how the next few years of Jaeger's career go.

do you guys Tyler steenbergen could of put up a 100 points if he played peewee this year?

how many points would Bradyn Point have scored in that country league if he would play that kind of competition and get 2hr+ice times as opposed to the 1 hr ice times he got in Calgary( didn't he score 100 + goals anyway?) ....Calgary teams have played Red Deer and Jaegers teams this season and beat them by 6-8 goals each time...Jaeger is impressive but its too bad he couldn't play good competition on a consistent basis to push him--I bet he is at least a 25 goal scorer as a first year next year and then one of the top boys in the WHL Draft in 2013---will probably use his dad's address next year so he can play in Airdrie

Have watched Jaeger play before, he does have great hands but he is a one way player, and looked what happened this past year to another one way player Ryan Barrow.

Tyler Sandhu in PeeWee AAA 2nd year scored 85 goals in 18 games.
Jaeger White is sort of like A tyler Sandhu, but hopefully doesn't upset everyone in his draft year like sandhu did this year gpoing from 1st overall to a first rounder.

i know it is so far away, but for the 2012 WHL BANTAM DRAFt, who are some top prospects alrady?

don't know the kid, and have not watched him, but anyone scoring 100 or more goals in a season in their age group must be amazing. Let's cheer this kid on.

7:55 your kid is going first overall.

7.22. The Calgary league is weaker than the SCAHL country league. Timberwolves in particular have been awesome for the past 3 years.
Jaeger is teh best Alberta prospect for years.

In second year Peewee, Seafair scored 101 goals in 18 games. One player scored 85 of them?

throughout the enitre season as they went right to provincial finals. In abbotsford peewee ice breaker tournament, he scored 12 goals in 6 games.

he scored probably 50 goals in league play. Trust me, he scored a lot fo goals back then, he was a show back in peewee.

Anonymous said...

that is impressive. that is 6 Goals per game almost. Sandhu had to be in on atleast 70 5 of the goals. If their was a peewee draft back then (i know it is a ridiculous thought), he would hands down go #1 no questions asked whatsoever.

It interesting how players have developed. i'm a pcaha parent and my sons draft year is this year. In atom 2 nd year. The provincial rankings looked like this. Langley, then surrey, then sefair, then abby, then bwc, followed by NSWC. In pewee 2 nd year. it changed to : kamloops, sefair, then abby, bwc, nswc, cloverdale, surrey and langley after. how does surrey go from top to bottom, while other teams remain atop. it is the development system. A few scores i remember from atom where langley 4-1 over BWC, surrey 3-0 over BWC and 5-1 over abby. Langley 12-0 over cloverdale and BWC and NSWC 4-4. Why are these results diffrent nowadays. was it like that in alberta

In Calgry, we have community hockey all the way until Bantam. Here, development happens as per the parents in extra curricular camps. We would never be allowed to have the same team all the way through. The only team that we have seen over the years where that happened was the exception rather than the norm. That being the Blackfoot team that grew up together. Martin, Pointe, Garvey, Hirose and those guys came through that system. 1/2 went to the Bisons and the other half went to the Sabres.

interesting cause in pcaha, you can play with same guys your enitre mionr hockey career. some build good chemistry (bamford and ksapski or friesen meyer willcox for eg.)

I have also seen this kid play and don't get me wrong he is good...and talented when he wants to and that is the thing with Jaeger..viewing stats are sometimes miss interpreted as the South Teams are not that strong in this division.that comment from whomever saying that they came down to play in the tournament and beat his team by 6-8 is true...it takes a certain coach to coach Jaeger as he plays the way he wants to and does not respond well when negative criticism comes in affect. I do wish him the best and i do hope he makes it far cause he is talented but just because of these stats does not make him "the Next One" it takes a COMPLETE (back checking, hitting, ect..) hockey player to become someone! and of course HEART

Jaeger is super good and has great hands good speed and a rocket shot he is on my line for spring I will see how he does

i seen the kid play in regina tournament, and the hype is all it is. hype. one way player, floats around and goes in one direction. He has a great shot, and a nose for the net, but he didn't live up to the hype in my eyes. he needs to work on a lot of aspects of the game to become the next one.

My son has played against jaeger for the past 2-3 years ,I've watched players like Ty Wong, cavin Leth,Connor bleakley when they were whites age and none of them even compare to white. The kid is special that's for sure

I have watched Jaeger play and yes, he is hype, he's a one way player and if he starts too lose he develops an attitude towards everything thats happening. A very unsung player in the SCAHL league was a player from Airdrie by the name of Jared Janke. He didn't record 124 goals, but hes a 2 way player, has SPECTACULAR speed, and a great set of hands. The game i watched was against Jaeger's team, Medicine Hat in Airdrie the only reason i came was to watch Jaeger white i have heard so much about. I live in Edmonton and i follow the future stars very closely. I was not impressed with jaeger's play at all, it was this Janke kid who impressed me by skating around the Defenceman with his unreal speed and recording 3 points. The game's final score came out to 7-3 in Airdrie's favor. Just another possible draft pick in the future. I will follow Janke closely along with another possible future picks.

thats just my opinion,

Dean in Edmonton

White had poor coaching,no systems, nothing. They relied on him every game. I couldn't Imagine the pressure this kid has on him. Give him a break
