Manitoba Bantam POE U16 Day 2

Team Boyd (1-1-0) 3 - Team Barker (1-1-0) 4 OT
Landon Plett scored the OT winner 3 minutes into the extra fram for Team Barker.  Lindgren, Hopfner and Phillips also scored for Team Barker.  Lindgren and Plett each added an assist for 2 point games.  Adam Brooks scored his 2nd of the tournament and added one helper.  Goalie, Derek Davies stopped all 15 shots for Team Barker in leading them to the win.

Team Pickard (2-0-0) - Team Eakin (0-2-0)
In a somewhat surprising result, Team Eakin led by top prospects Jordan Thomson, Jayce Hawryluk and Dane Schioler have fallen to 0-2-0.  Team Pickard who outshot Team Eakin 29-22 got single goals from Patrick Normandeau, Brody Anthony and Geordie Keane.  Team Eakin's lone goal was scored by Jesse Reid-Whyte.  Reid-Whyte has 2 goals and Schioler has 3 for Team Eakin who have scored 5 goals in 2 games.  Jordan Thomson is pointless and Hawryluk has 1 assist through 2 games.

Team Helm (0-2-0) 0 - Team Hamonic (2-0-0)
Team Helm seems a bit over-matched in this tournament as they have now been outscored 13-2 in the 2 games this tournament.  For Team Hamonic, Michael Fortin continued his strong play with 2-1-3.  However, the early story of the tournament has to be Rhett Lough for had 1-3-4 and now leads the tournament with 4-3-7 in 2 games.  Dallas Starodub had 2-1-3 giving him 6 points and anchor defenseman Taylor Fisher and David Dunn both had a couple points.  Gutenberg and Thorlakson turned aside all 21 shos for the shared shutout.

Team Howden (0-2-0) 4 - Team Toews (2-0-0) 5
Clay Tait who played this winter with Interlake scored 2-1-3 to give him a team leading 5 points.  Alex Tetrault and Brett Kitt also picked up a couple points in the win for Team Toews.  Defenseman Travis Sanheim led the way for Team howden with 2 goals.
