Swift Current 1 - Kelowna 1 End 1st

Jordan Wittman opened the scoring just before the midway part of the 1st period for Swift Current and Kostiuk replied for Kelowna about 5 minutes later.  Kelowna defenseman Justin Land and Gen Brysun had very good periods.  Tim Vanstone for Swift Current put out good effort in the period but was starting to dive around the ice a little bit on the penalty kill and was put out of position.

Second Period
Swift Current opened the scoring early in the 2nd period, just 1:27 in on a goal mouth scramble.  Kelowna would tie it up at the 8:22 mark on a nice passing play between Hikichi and Blanchard.  Hikici and Blanchard have been darting around all game long.  Then as both goalies were settling in as Kilburn for Kelowna mada couple outstanding saves on Wimman and Adam who went in on a breakaway.  The Kelowna team would score on an unfortunate bounce on a shot from the point from Johnstone that skipped past Janzen through traffic.  Brysun was once again very strong for Kelowna and Forsyth for SC was throwing his weight around all period long.
