On Cloverdale, Parker Wootherspoon is easily the top D-Man. Being on the Vancouver Selects in the spring doesn't necessarily mean you are a great player. There were several weak players on that squad last year.

Seafair is far better than Mission.

How did a small tier 2 team like Mission get in the top 10 ?

I vote for eliminating the comments section.

I 2nd the the vote for eliminating the comments section!

I suggest that the moderator have a couple of volunteers who will help clean up the comments section. I just ignore the ones that aren't relevant to the story but would rather not see them at all.

Come on , the comments are an interesting part of this web site. If you don't like them , don't read them.

Big game tonight between Cgy Royals and Cgy Bronks. Probably two hottest teams in South AMBHL. Boy playing great team games and both have beat the Bisons. Not looking to hear about people saying (there arent as good as this team or that team), just simply stating should be a good game between two teams playing strong hockey right now.

I will 3rd that vote. Listening to biased parents squabbling anonymously how their boy is better than the next kid or theri team is better than some other team got old real quick and takes away from the sport itself.

Yes lets remove comments and then remove the blog itself and then the whole Internet. Discourse positive or negative or intelligent or stupid is the whole point. If you don't like it don't click the button. I vote to add a complete message board and let people say whatever they want and a moderator can intervene if necessary. More comments inane or arcane or brilliant or ridiculous are what's fun about any topic including this one.

This blog is based on opinions. Why can there be only one opinion? My vote is to keep the comments!

Huge game , Royals- Bronks, both teams are hot. The bronks comming off a huge 7-1 win against the bisons , with captin Zach Whitby, a great player on a roll .... The winner of this game will be the hottes team in the south

Too much chatter on the comments, like the one writer if you don't like it don't open it. SIMPLE.

lets play Hockey and get rid of the other stuff.

it's only a game as one of the experts said.

Comments left on here are often opinions of those who may see more games than the WEHP and have different insights. When you start naming who are the top players on a team you should be somewhat accurate with your assessments. If they are based on what players may have been in the past, but are not now, then the opinions of others can be relevant.
The opinions in these comments do not necessarily reflect what scouts believe and I doubt they will ever sway anyone elses opinion other than perhaps providing alternate views, biased or not.

I have an idea. If you dont want humour, stupidity , chatter etc. then don't leave comments. Or, let Tyler take all of the comments and post them, but not before he changes every second word. Would be hilarious. And while we are at it, for the guy who says "Lets just play hockey", he should quit reading the newspaper and the Hockey News.

Mission played their tiering round in tier 3 , playing against A2 teams. They are small and can't even beat the weakest tier 1 teams. And they did poorly in the Seafair tournament. Why do you rate them in the top 10 ?

I have a better idea. Instead of hiding behind the cowardly cloak of anonymity, why don't all those who like to bash teammates and the opposition because they are more skilled than their precious 13 yr old little boy identify themselves so the rest of the hockey community can see them for who they really are.

Kamloops tourney semis are set. Calgary Bronks 4-0 vs Mission 3-1. Winnipeg Monarchs 3-1 vs Cloverdale 3-1. Teams eliminated are Wenatchee 2-2, VRC 0-3-1, Kelowna 1-2-1, Kamloops 2-2, Abby 1-3, PGeorge 0-4

Is Musil the top player at BWC?
I sense Size and skill overpowers the previous stars great skill.

barzal and Szeto will struggle playing against the big boys now, and keeping healthy is going to be key with no one to protect them like last years crash and bang line of Burke and Rasovic

How things change year to year and how some boys grow into men quicker then others, it all catches up sooner or later, unless your parents are 5'8".

Many of us just watched Glen Gawdin playing on the Seafair Bantam AAA team single handed out power and out skate every player in the Tim Jardin memorial Bantam AAA tournament in South Delta.

This young man Gawdin is the real deal, along with the solid D support from Kyle Hoffman.

Your right Mission should not be rated at number 10. They should be higher if the Kamloops tourney proves anything. Kelona, Kamloops and Abby look to be moving down the chart. Move Mission to 7 at least.

Calgary Bronks looked good, solid team.

Wenachee continues to surprise with a short bench.

Cloverdale won the tourney with a wicked good powerplay squad.
