Blog Future

Good Afternoon readers;

I have received some very negative and disturbing comments from a few readers of the blog.  The latest was pertaining to the Prince Albert Minor Hockey player who received gifts etc from his peewee team-mates.  The story was taken from the panow.ca website and I viewed it as a feel good story.  I have since taken it off due to comments from a few about the negativity that the story portrayed to them and supposedly others.  The story was put on as a xmas cheer sort of story, not a negative side to this at all from our point of view.

I am going to turn off the comments section on the blog now.  It has become far too time consuming and the back and forth banter is starting to become a problem for many.  The intention of the blog and newsletter is to provide news to the readers and as of late it has become a feasting ground for readers to fight and argue.  This is the last thing we want, as the focus is going to remain content driven and non-slanderous.

In closing, I very much appreciate the support and it is very sad that some readers feel they don't want the blog to run anymore.  I would like to wish you all a merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays.  Blog status will be re-visited in the new year.

Please forward all hockey related stories and/or questions and concerns to: westernelitehockeypr@hotmail.ca

best regards,

Western Elite Hockey Prospects
