World Selects Invite begins tomorrow

The World Selects Invite begins tomorrow in Bolzano, Italy.  The tournament will feature several highly ranked players from western Canada in both the 98 and 99 age groups.  From the 98 age group, our #1 ranked player Tyler Benson will be joining ECS from Ontario.  In the 99 age group Justin Almeida and Jordy Bellerive who are highly ranked will be playing for "Pro Hockey" while Brayden Nicholetts from Calgary, Brayden Labant from Cold Lake, Brayden Gorda from Edmonton, Jacob Kendall of Camrose and Dawson Brunseski of Camrose.

We will keep those of you who have an interest on these top players posted in the coming days...

Also, the Vancouver Selects are holding a super series this coming weekend with themselves, the Vancouver Vipers, US West and Southern Alberta Selects.  The US West team is made up of many of the top 98 born players who will appear on our initial US list on May 6.

The Alberta Champions Cup begins this weekend as well in Calgary with the 98 and 99 born groups taking part.  The 98 born group will feature many of the spring/summer hockey top teams including; the Saskatoon Jr. Blades, Calgary Jr. Hitmen, Vancouver Selects Black(Blue hosting a tournament of their own), Kelowna Jr. Rockets amongst the teams.  In the 99 age group, the Alberta 99's, Jr. Hitmen, Saskcan amongst the teams.  We will also keep you posted on the top players and the results from the first major spring tournament.

The Alberta Cup begins this coming Thursday in Lethbridge.  Stay tuned for lots of information in the coming days and throughout the Alberta Cup.  After that, we wait for the bantam draft and put a close on the 2011-2012 season with the bantam draft on May 3, 2012.  How time flies!
